on the road to Edmonton
Today, I leave town.
After a wee detour, I will head to Edmonton with Jeremy. And there we will begin recording the new Belle Plaine album, Notes from a Waitress.
Of course, everything has been going smoothly. Funding was approved. (Thanks Sask Arts Board!) A-list musicians are confirmed. Producer/engineer Doug Organ of Edmontone Studio is excited and ready.
But! A wheel literally might fall off my car.
Having just seen the movie Wrecked, I don't need that kind of trouble.
So after a trip to car emergency, second opinions and some prudent decision making, I've decided to do what all great problem solvers do: throw money at it.
Michael Bell, thank you for inspecting that suspicious noise. Enterprise, thank you for your last minute availability.
Onwards!
