Jeez Louise!  What have I been doing for the last two weeks? I got home from tour and I just sort of went underground.

Well I'm back at the blog.  Things to tell:

Anyone in Regina who wants a copy of Hello from Belle Plaine can walk on down to Buy the Book on 13th Avenue in Cathedral.  Better bring your $10 in cash though.  Chris takes no cards.  Cheques work though!  I'd be worried about being found out for teasing him, but he doesn't know how to use modern devices like computers, cel phones, microwave ovens, etc.

These days tour booking is the name of the game.  Beth and I are headed for Alberta in September.  All over Alberta.  It will be the two of us and our gear (including her gigantic double bass) in my 1985 hatch back.  Memories will be made.

And the Good News is in!  We were approved for funding for the jazz album through the Saskatchewan Arts Board.  All that positive thinking really worked for us.  Jeremy and I will travel to Edmonton to hang with our old college buddies and we'll all make a killer record together.  It's very exciting.

Finally, thank you to everyone who supported the tour.  I loved being out on the road every night singing in whatever place we turned up in.  Special thanks to my sweet, sweet band that played with me at the Regina show (Anna, Elizabeth and Jeremy), Chris Sleightholm who filled in as the opener with two hours notice, and all of my friends in town who just keep showing up to hear the same old songs.  You guys are awesome.
