I'm up here for the Saskatchewan Festival of Words. I haven't taken in any of the readings yet, but that's the plan for today.
I received the first batch of mixes from my sessions at Edmontone Studio this week. Had a listen, and Jeez Louise, they sound great!
Still lots to do before the January release - like artwork, tour planning, manufacturing... but it's great to hear the actual product. Very exciting.
(Above is documentation of what we did for most of our studio time in Edmonton. Pin ball! What a fabulous activity to keep limber between takes.)
One more thing! The competition for the Symphony Under the Sky event on August 21st is still happening. If you want Belle Plaine to play in Wascana Park for free (!) you should comment on the Regina Symphony Orchestra's Facebook page or listen to Sweet Tart on their BandPage. Voting (i.e. song plays & comments) closes on July 22nd.
