g.s.d.

The weeks have just been flying by... geesh.

Only moments ago I read the e-mail that my friend Avril Biggin sent to a friendly stranger in Toronto bearing the words "I just finished uploading Mel's files..."

Those files are the artwork for my CD.  I have been anticipating this for... a year?  It really has been that long.

But now it's pretty much out of my hands.

That means there will be an album release soon!  Actually, there's a whole tour planned for the album release.  But more on that in the coming weeks.

For now, I wanted to share that I've had the luxury of a studio downtown.  I've found a wee home in Marian Donnelly's Creative City Centre.  After my move I found I was more inclined to unpack boxes than sit down and do some work.  Marian came to my rescue and gave me a space that caters to my seclusive nature while also allowing me to observe the comings and goings of my community at Regina's fabulous Green Spot.

It's ideal.  And I've managed to get shit done.  The most important thing of all.

Thanks Marian!
