Have a look at that photo.
Considering it's Telemiracle weekend, I thought I'd share this.
That's me, age 13, singing in my fancy silk blouse and sporting a perm. It was big news in the day: my first television appearance.
And just look at how thrilled I was.
For the record, I was a prime time performer: Sunday morning, 11 am.
You'd think I could have at least managed a smile.
Anyway...
Another topical subject this week is my show with Mr. Mark Berube. I'm thrilled to be opening for him. I met Mark a few years ago when he was touring through Regina all by himself. I've had the pleasure of seeing him perform several times over the past few years. I always enjoy the show.
The details are thus: The Exchange, March 9. Doors at 8, show at 9. Hope to see you out.
One more thing. I want to share a little discovery. It's a video of the song I sang on Telemiracle. To me, the lyrics just seemed to be about love and brotherhood. Oh, the naivety. Turns out it was written in support of Operation Desert Storm. Yikes. Now that I've explained myself away, (insert Nelly Furtado comment here) I found that watching the video brought about a supremely entertaining game of Name That Celebrity. Ok. Here it is for you to enjoy. Voices That Care. Wag the dog!
