welcome to the Good Luck Diner

This past weekend was full of diners and songs.  Pretty much two of my favourite things.

Friday had me at the Novia in Regina.  The event was well covered by the media as it was organized to draw awareness to the Novia's declining business due to downtown construction.  If you're so inclined you can watch the news report.  There's also some pretty pictures from CTV, as well as a kind nod from the prairie dog.

Thanks to Tyler Gilbert who organized the event.  Seven acts on the bill are a lot of cats to herd for one man.

On Saturday I took the band out to Wadena, SK for a sold out show at Dave's Good Luck Diner.  Small town hospitality did not fail us.

One of my pop's old drinking buddies asked me to sing some Johnny Cash for an encore.  No one seemed to mind that I substituted a tune penned by Cash for Kris Kristofferson's Sunday Morning Coming Down.

Thanks to everyone that came out to the events.  A big thanks to David Oswald Mitchell and Nikko Snyder for the photos at the Good Luck.

Diner shows may be the new house concert.
