sneak peaks

Hello friend.

After all that talk at the Regina Folk Festival about recordings, I thought I should share a little something with you... not just say I was recording, but actually prove it too.

Back in May I was headed out to my Mum's and my mind was wandering, as it's oft to do on long drives.  It occurred to me that I should have a CD for the RFF.  So I called Orion at Soul Sound Studios (engineer to such fine artists as The Lazy MKs, Jeans Boots and The Library Voices) and booked some studio time for the end of June.

Unfortunately, recordings (and overdubs and mixing...) take a long time.  Thus the RFF has come and gone and still no EP.

But have no fear!  I've uploaded a song called Swamp Lullaby (it seems to be one that I get asked about a lot).  Now you too can hear a little sampling of what I was busy doing on that rainy weekend in June with the lovely Elizabeth Curry (bass) and Miss Anna Rose (back-up vocals).  You can listen at whatever media site you dig the most: my music page here on the site, myspace, CBC Radio 3 or ReverbNation.

Hope you enjoy!
