an explanation
I know, all of my posts have been rather insignificant lately - when there have been blog posts at all.
But there's a reason! I'm releasing my new CD!
That's exciting, huh?
The official "This Is A Big Deal" party is in Regina at The Artesian on the 27th of January. You should know that I'll have a full band with me.
There will be the affable Elizabeth Curry, who many of you know and love. My sometimes co-writer and oft Cribbage adversary Jeremy Sauer will also be in attendance.
But wait, there's more! Remember that little CBC show in November? It was then that I met Kris Craig. I would have been a fool to miss an opportunity to play with him again, and so he'll be joining us on guitar.
It's been said that no super band is complete without a bona fide Freemason. Hey! That's Jody Mario on drums!
And just for a bit of sonic colour I've asked my new friend Cheney Lambert from Regina's Pile of Bones Brass Band to play the trumpet.
Not too shabby.
I haven't walked the tickets down to the vendor yet, but I will. This weekend, even. And then you can buy them.
Let's say tickets go on sale on Tuesday, January 10th at Mysteria Gallery.
You should come. It's going to be really good. Plus, Julia & Her Piano will be there. She sings, then talks. The Piano patiently waits to be played again. It's fabulous.
So you see? I was actually working all this time when you thought I was just being boring and avoiding The Beatles for as long as possible.
