mos and shows
Hello friends.
I had a great weekend. Saturday night was the much anticipated Movember Fundraiser. It was fabulous. For claiming to be novices, my buddies Blair and Avril know how to put on a house concert. I had so much fun playing and meeting everyone that came. There were faux mos and real mos. Giant mos and neon mos. Wild. And we even raised a pile of cash for prostate cancer research.
When I woke up on Sunday morning I was still beaming from the night before. Fortunately, I had a show that afternoon at The Fainting Goat with Grant Lawrence for the launch of his new book, Adventures in Solitude.
I love hanging out at The Goat. It's like Cheers for me. I walk in and I know everyone - staff and patrons. On top of that, I love singing there. It's so welcoming. I always just relax into my voice and everything just flows.
It was an extra treat to hear Grant tell tales from his book and his tour.
I realized the other day that I've never actually linked to the podcast that Grant featured me on back in September. If you haven't heard it, you should! So here it is.
After things wrapped up at The Fainting Goat my fella and I were off to a friend's. We watched the Riders play... and win. What the heck? I have to admit that I only watch the CFL in the playoffs, but that was surprising, wasn't it? Guess I'll be watching the Grey Cup on Sunday.
Thanks to everyone who made this weekend so fantastic!
